Bex (they/them) is a UK-based interdisciplinary artist working under the name Melted Dice. They are queer, neurodivergent and chronically ill, and their practice spans music, poetry, zines, and visual art, exploring power, survival, and resistance through feminist and anti-capitalist perspectives.
Their visual work includes painting, pottery, photography, and mixed media, often drawing on nature, human relationships, and ideas from permaculture. Landscape painting forms an important part of the work, exploring nature as a space of refuge and autonomy.
Bex is active in the local creative community. Their artwork was exhibited in the Southend Art Club exhibition in May 2025, and they performed poetry at the 2025 Leigh Folk Festival.
They previously completed doctoral research examining representations of belonging and otherness in queer cinema.
